Every March, Francophonie (Mois de la francophonie), a French cultural month, is held around the world to celebrate the diversity of the French language and culture.

在2026年法语月之际，比利时驻华大使馆诚挚地邀请您参加一场别具一格的音乐体验——由比利时著名钢琴家 Olivier De Spiegeleir 带来的钢琴独奏附评论音乐会。

On the occasion of Mois de la francophonie 2026, the Embassy of Belgium in China cordially invites you to a unique music experience – a piano recital with commentary performed by renowned Belgian pianist Olivier De Spiegeleir.

About the Musician

Olivier De Spiegeleir是当今最受推崇的比利时钢琴家之一。他毕业于比利时鲁汶天主教大学与布鲁塞尔皇家音乐学院，以其独特的“钢琴独奏附评论” （piano recitals with commentary）形式而闻名。在这种形式中，他不仅演奏音乐，还通过生动、诗意的讲解，引领观众理解作品背后的历史、文学与思想。

Olivier De Spiegeleir is one of the most acclaimed Belgian pianists of today. He studied at University of Leuven and Conservatoire de royal Bruxelles, and is particularly known for his distinctive format of “piano recitals with commentary.” In these performances, he not only plays the music but also offers engaging and poetic explanations, guiding the audience through the historical, literary, and philosophical contexts behind the works.

To date, he has performed more than 600 concerts in over 250 venues across 25 countries. His performances have taken him throughout Europe, North America, South America, the Middle East, and Asia, and he is frequently invited to international festivals and cultural exchange events. He has also collaborated with several renowned orchestras, including the Belgian National Orchestra, the Liège Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia. In addition, he has recorded several albums, including a number dedicated to the piano works of Beethoven.

In March 2024, Olivier de Spiegeleir toured China with a piano concert titled "EUROPE IN MUSIC AND POETRY". Our Embassy was privileged to be one of the stops on the tour.

Classical music has never been static. From the Baroque period to modern music, composers have continuously pushed artistic boundaries and explored new sounds and forms of expression, making classical music a world full of creativity and imagination.

在本场音乐会中，Olivier De Spiegeleir将通过钢琴演奏与讲解，带领观众穿越三个世纪的音乐创新史。这是一场融合音乐、文学与思想的艺术之旅。

During this concert, Olivier De Spiegeleir will guide the audience through three centuries of music innovation through both performance and commentary. This promises to be an artistic journey combining music, literature, and thought.
